Procedure and Syllabus of Entrance Test of Sainik School

The All India Sainik School Entrance Test is the exam which students have to qualify for getting admissions in Sainik schools. The Entrance Test is conducted on the most probably first Sunday of January every year at various centers of India.

Syllabus of All India Sainik School Entrance Exam:

Patter for the Class IX students
The standard of examination for Class IX is English. However, students can also write exam in any of preferred languages. The Mathematics and Science contain 200+75 marks and English and Social Studies contain 100+75 marks.

Pattern for the Class VI students
Students who want to take admission in VI class must read the syllabus carefully. Note that the Question paper is prepared in English, Hindi and all other approved regional official languages. There are 200 marks for Mathematics and Language ability test and 100 marks for Intelligence Test. Students also take it mind the Question paper pattern keep on changing every year. The syllabus for the VI and IX All India Sainik School Entrance Test is usually based on the NCERT books of V and VIII respectively.

Qualification Eligibility Criteria for All India Sainik School Entrance Exam

Students whose age between 10 and 11 years are eligible to appear for the VI standard entrance exam and those students age between 13 and 14 years are eligible for entrance exam of IX standard. Every student must have completed their last qualifying exam. The Last Qualifying exam must be recognized school.

Reservation Quota in Sainik School
There are 15% sheets are reserved for SC candidates 15%, for 7.5% sheets for ST candidates and 25% of seats are reserved for the children of service personnel and ex-servicemen.

How to get Application form of Sainik School
Students can get prospectus, application form and question papers from the Principal of the particular Sainik schools at the residing place of the candidate.  Students can also take application forms online from the official CBSE website. Students have to be duly filled and send along with the application fee to the regional office address in New Delhi.
